I see the warrior purged in the battlefield.
I see how he swings his sword and battles his shield
shouting for his bretheren. Calling them to fight,
to kill and injure any enemy on sight.
"Fight", yells the commander, "we shall not die in vain".
Fighting on this unforgivible terrain
makes me doubt that we have any chance to prevail...
untill the ranks obey and fulfill the travail.
Every kind of agression is considered bad,
but in war killing a human or a comrade,
cutting the life out of his flesh with a sharped edge
gets you, in any case, a priceless honour badge.
Cu oţelul până la genunchi
Urcând pe scara de oţel umbrele treptelor ne încurcâ.
Ne reţin o umbră maghiară, alta rusă şi una turcă.
Picioarele destinului în oţelul topit se scufundă.
Iată soarta fără destin devenind o simplă muribundă.
